What's in the widget library

Every widget in the Elements panel, by category, with a link to each widget's settings article and the options most people ask about.

Updated October 15, 2026

Click Add in the left rail to open the Elements panel: every widget, sorted into categories. Type in Search elements… to find one by name or description. Each widget name below links to the article that explains all its settings.

How to find and add a widget

  1. Click Add in the left rail.
  2. Type part of the name or what it does in Search elements…, for example "gallery", "price" or "map".
  3. Drag the card onto the page, or select a column and click the card. See How to add and edit widgets.

Options worth knowing

  • Media Slider (more in Photo Gallery and Media Slider): in its Design panel, Thumbnails > Show thumbnail strip adds small pictures of each slide under the slider (click one to show that slide). With the Slide transition, Center mode keeps the current slide in the middle with its neighbors partly visible and faded at the sides (set Active slide width and Side slides opacity). Slide width > Natural makes each slide as wide as its photo at the slider's height, for a flowing photo strip.
  • Card Carousel (more in Card widgets): pick the Testimonial layout (Design panel > Layout, or Manage Cards) for customer quotes. Each card has a name, role or company, a star rating from 0 to 5, the quote, and a small round photo. Set the star color and size under Star Rating. A rating of 0 hides that card's stars.
  • Icon (more in Icon, Shape, Spacer and Divider): set Show > Star rating for a row of stars, like a review badge. Pick how many stars are filled, optionally how many in total (the rest show faint), the star size, color and spacing. Screen readers hear "5 stars" or "4 out of 5 stars" unless you write your own alt text.
  • Choosing an icon: the icon picker's search understands everyday words, not just icon names. Type "lightning" or "bolt" for the lightning bolt, "call" for a phone, "email" for an envelope, "location" for a map pin, "rating" for a star, "tick" for a check mark or "home" for a house. Hover an icon to see its name. (The icon called "Bolt (hex nut)" is a nut and bolt, not lightning.)
  • Text Ticker (more in Ticker, scroll, tags and counters): under Separator in the Design panel, pick the mark shown between messages: •, —, ★, ♦, ✦, |, a lightning bolt, or None. Click Use any icon… to pick any icon from the icon picker instead. Separator color and Separator size apply to icons too, and the separator color can follow a theme color.
  • HTML Embed (more in HTML Embed widget): to show an X (Twitter) timeline, paste just the profile link (for example https://x.com/yourbusiness) instead of code. X's own "Embed timeline" code works too. Make the widget tall enough to show a few posts. X decides which posts appear and may show fewer to visitors who aren't signed in.

Examples

  • A roofer's homepage: Hero Slider at the top, Counters for "25 years, 3,000 roofs", Google Reviews, then a Contact Form and Map.
  • A restaurant: Restaurant Menu, Business Hours, an OpenTable button and Photo Gallery.
  • A service-area page built from data: a Dynamic Repeater showing one card per row of your Services collection.

Limits and what it can't do

  • The list is the same for every site. You can't hide categories, but you can add your own widgets to Custom with the Widget Builder.
  • Search matches widget names and their short descriptions only.
  • Some widgets need setup elsewhere first: Google Reviews needs the client's Google Business Profile link, Blog widgets need blog posts, Language Selector lists the languages added in Settings > Languages, and Dynamic Repeater needs a collection.

Who can use it

  • Agency people with the Mount Olympus tool see the whole library. The Open Widget Builder link under Custom is for the agency team only.
  • Client people need the Editor permission to open Add and place widgets (see Client permissions).

Troubleshooting

  • 'No elements match "…"': try another word, for example "slider" instead of "carousel", or "form" instead of "contact".
  • My custom widget isn't in Custom: it must be published in the Widget Builder first. See Use custom widgets on a site.
  • There's no Add button in the rail: you're signed in as a client person without Editor.

Good to know

  • Several widgets read from your site data automatically. Business Hours, Map and Multi Location use Business Info. Breadcrumbs adds Google markup.
  • Custom widgets come from the Widget Builder. If you don't have any yet, the Custom category shows an Open Widget Builder link (agency team only).
  • Client people need the Dev Mode permission to edit an HTML Embed's code.
