Business Info and Business Text are the site's content library. They live in CMS in the left rail, under Media Manager (see Media library). A new site starts with the client's details already filled in.
How to update the phone number everywhere
- Open CMS in the left rail and click Business Info.
- Change the number under Phone numbers. Changes save as you type.
- Scroll to On your site and click Connect matching text to Business Info to catch any old number still typed on the pages. Click Connect.
- Publish (or Republish) to put it live.
Business Info settings
- Business name, Logo, Phone numbers (each with an optional Label, such as Office or Emergency) and Email addresses (each with a Label).
- Opening Hours > Set opening hours (or Edit hours) sets proper day-by-day hours. Each day can be open with times, Closed, Open 24 hours or By appointment. Click Save hours. Every Business Hours widget on the site uses these.
- Locations: extra branches. Add location gives each one its own Location name, Address, Phone numbers (Add phone), Email, Opening hours (Set hours, Clear), Location page, Google Maps / Business Profile link and Image. The linked page gets that location's own business schema. The Multi Location and Map widgets can show them.
- Social: Google Maps, Facebook, Google Business, Instagram, Twitter / X, YouTube and LinkedIn links (each starts with https://). Social Icons widgets use these.
- Days and Hours: a short line, for example "Monday–Friday" and "8am–5pm".
- Category (for example Plumbing) and Tagline (for example Quality service since 1985).
- Areas served: up to 20 cities or regions. These feed the business schema and service pages' Service schema. Write a town in another state as "Town, ST". A list typed as text ("Gray, and Washington County, TN") is split at commas, and a leading "and" or a stray state code is dropped, so it becomes Gray and Washington County. Counties stay counties in the schema.
- Payment methods (for example Cash, Visa, Mastercard) and Awards & certifications (for example Licensed & insured, BBB A+).
- Address: type in Search to update address and pick a match to fill in Street address, City, State, Postal code and Country. You can also edit each part by hand.
- Hide street address (service-area business): for businesses that travel to customers. It keeps the street address, map pin and map link out of all the site's schema and out of the page, and a map widget set to the business address shows no pin. When the address's town isn't one of the areas served, the town and ZIP code stay out too. Zeus writes "Serving Santa Rosa, Petaluma…" from the areas served, never "based in" the address's town. A new site starts with it on when the client is ticked as a service-area business.
Widgets connected to these fields update when you change them. Business details also feed the site's LocalBusiness schema.
Phone numbers and emails on your pages
When Zeus builds a site, fills a template or imports one, every phone number, email, address and social link he places is connected to Business Info. In text it shows as a Business Info chip, call and email links follow it, and call buttons use it. Change the phone here and every number on the site changes, including the links people tap.
For text typed before this, or added by hand, use On your site > Connect matching text to Business Info at the bottom of Business Info:
- A list shows every place the phone, email, address or social links are typed on the site: header, footer, pages and collection items.
- Check the list, then click Connect. Those places now follow Business Info.
On a site with other languages, the list also covers each language's text (shown with the language's name, like "Home page, section 2 (Spanish)"). Those spots get the same Business Info chips and links, and their translations stay marked as translated. If someone changed that translation after you opened the list, it's skipped; run it again.
The site's structured data (schema) follows Business Info as well: the business schema is built from it, and business details in a page's own schema or a Service Schema column are switched to live values by the same button. Changes to Business Info, and the schema built from it, go live on the published site the next time you publish, like every other edit.
Just changed the phone or email here? Open the button straight away: the list also finds the old number still on the pages and switches it to the new one. Only the values themselves are connected; the rest of your copy, prices, years and other numbers stay as they are. A plain-text field, like an SEO description, can't follow Business Info, so the old number there is replaced with the new one.
Business Text
Business Text holds named blocks of reusable text, for example a short About paragraph or a service description. Every site has three built-in blocks: About Us, Company Overview and Business Services (their names can't be changed or removed). Click Add Text Block for your own, give it a Block name, and write the text. Changes save as you type.
The toolbar has bold, italic, a Bullet list, a Numbered list and Add Link. A link in Business Text can go to a page on the site, a dynamic page item, a web address, an email or a phone number (see Link picker). Click × next to a custom block to remove it.
On a site with other languages, Edit in picks the language. Each block then shows its translation to edit. Connect a Text widget to the block and the widget shows it. Edit the block once and every connected widget changes.
Zeus fields (agency team only)
The Zeus fields box offers:
- Add Zeus text fields: adds the standard set of named text fields that Zeus fills when he builds a site.
- Add Zeus collections: adds the Services, Service-Area and Header Images collections and their dynamic pages.
- Zeus: suggest connections: Zeus reads your home, about and services pages and suggests which text belongs in each field. You review the suggestions before anything changes.
Examples
- A plumber gets a new phone number: change it under Phone numbers, click Connect matching text to Business Info to switch the old number in typed text too, then Republish. The header, footer, call buttons and schema all show the new number.
- A mobile dog groomer: turn on Hide street address (service-area business) and list the towns in Areas served. The site and schema never show the home address.
- A dental group with three offices: add each office under Locations, set its hours and link its Location page. Each page gets that office's own business schema.
- A reusable guarantee line: add a Business Text block called "Guarantee", connect a Text widget to it on every service page, and edit it in one place.
Limits and what it can't do
- Areas served: up to 20. The box shows how many you have (for example 7/20).
- Business Text links can't open popups, jump to an anchor, download a file, link a blog post or send a text message.
- The three built-in Business Text blocks can't be renamed or removed.
- A plain-text field (like an SEO description) can't stay connected; the button replaces the old value there instead.
- Changes show in the editor straight away but reach the live site only when you publish.
Who can use it
- Agency team members with the Mount Olympus tool.
- Client people need Content Library (or Editor). The Zeus fields box is agency-only.
Troubleshooting
- The phone number on the site didn't change: that number was typed in, not connected. Use Connect matching text to Business Info, then republish.
- "Everything that matches Business Info is already connected.": nothing left to connect. If the old number still shows on the live site, republish.
- "Couldn't read the site just now" or "Couldn't connect the text just now": try again in a moment.
- "No matches found" in the address search: type the street and town, or fill in the address parts by hand.
- "That address can't be used here. Use a page on this site, a web address (https://…), an email or a phone number.": Business Text links only take those kinds of link.
- The map still shows a pin: check that Hide street address (service-area business) is on, then republish.
- A location page has no local schema: pick it as the location's Location page, and make sure Local Business schema is on in SEO/AEO.
- "All Zeus text fields are already here.": the standard Zeus fields already exist; nothing was added.
