Three gallery widgets for showing off work. Video Gallery and Preview Gallery are in the Media category of the Add panel; Featured Work is in Showcase. All three fill from the shared Manage window (add items by hand or From a collection), explained in Widget Design panel basics. Their Spacing section is margin only, and Animations & Effects offers Entrance and Scroll (see Animations and effects).
Video Gallery
How to add it
- Click Add, open Media and drag Video Gallery onto the page. It starts with three sample videos.
- Click Manage Videos, then Add Video.
- For each video, fill in Title, pick the Video (click Choose video: the Video Content window with Client videos, Upload, Library and Paste a link, the same as the Video widget), then Category (for example "Tutorials") and Description.
- Optional: add an image as the thumbnail. YouTube, Vimeo and DailyMotion videos get theirs automatically.
- Under the list, choose Show as: One video, Video library or Showcase hero. Default Video library.
- For Showcase hero, set Play button text (default "Play Videos").
- Click Done.
Videos play in a window over the page (a lightbox). One video shows only the first video. Showcase hero shows a large banner whose background changes between your videos, and its button plays them all as a playlist.
Library
Only for Video library.
- Videos per row: 1–5. Default 3 on Desktop, 2 on Tablet, 1 on Mobile.
- Gap: 0–80 px. Default 28. Per screen size.
- Search box: lets visitors search the videos. Default on. The box under it sets the placeholder (default "Search videos…").
- Category filter buttons: one button per category. Default on. The box under it sets the first button's text (default "All Videos").
- Show titles: default on.
- Show categories: default on.
Showcase Hero
Only for Showcase hero.
- Height: 240–1000 px. Default 560 (440 Tablet, 340 Mobile). Per screen size.
- Background change every: 2–15 seconds. Default 4.
- Darken background: 0–80%. Default 35%.
Play Button & Cards
- Play circle: the round play button's color. Default white.
- Play icon: the triangle's color. Default near-black.
- Corners: 0–32 px. Default 12.
Video Title and Category
Not shown for Showcase hero.
- Video Title: text style controls, size up to 40.
- Category: text style controls, size up to 24.
Preview Gallery
Image cards that open a live website in a window when clicked. Made for showing website templates or client sites.
How to add it
- Open Add > Media and drag Preview Gallery onto the page.
- Click Manage Items, then Add Item.
- For each item, fill in Title and Page to preview (URL), add an image (a screenshot works well) with alt text and Focal point, and optionally a button (Show button, Button text, link).
- Click Done.
Visitors hover a card and click the preview button. The page opens inside a window with an Open in new tab ↗ link and a close button.
Grid
- Columns: 1–5. Default 3 on Desktop, 2 on Tablet, 1 on Mobile.
- Gap between items: 0–80 px. Default 24. Per screen size.
- Image fit: Fill (zoom on hover) or Whole image. Default Fill.
- Corners: 0–32 px. Default 10.
- Hover overlay: the color over the card on hover. Default black at 45%.
- Preview button text: default "Preview".
- Show title and button: default on.
Title
- The heading level: H2, H3, H4 or Text. Default H3.
- Text style controls, size up to 48.
Card Button
- Primary or Secondary (your theme's button styles). Default Secondary.
Featured Work
A tight grid of small thumbnails. Hover one (or tap it on a phone) and a card pops open with a bigger picture, title, description and button.
How to add it
- Open Add > Showcase and drag Featured Work onto the page. It starts with ten sample items.
- Click Manage Projects. The Manage Items window opens.
- Click Add Items to pick several images at once. Give each a Title, Description, Focal point and optional button.
- Click Done. From a collection, items link to their dynamic page.
Grid
- Thumbnails per row: 1–20. Default 14 on Desktop, 10 on Tablet, 5 on Mobile.
- Gap: 0–40 px. Default 8 (6 on Tablet and Mobile). Per screen size.
- Rows (0 = all): 0–10. Default 2.
- Last row: Show partial row or Full rows only. Default Show partial row.
Thumbnails
- Fill or Whole image. Default Fill.
- Thumbnail corners: 0–24 px. Default 4.
- Dim other thumbnails on hover: default on.
Expanded Card
The card shows on hover with a mouse. On phones and tablets a tap opens it in a window instead.
- Card width: 200–500 px. Default 300.
- Card background: default white.
- Card corners: 0–32 px. Default 12.
Text
- The heading level: H2, H3, H4 or Text. Default H3.
- Title: text style controls, size up to 48.
- Description: text style controls, size up to 28.
Button
- Alignment: Left, Center or Right. Default Center.
- Primary or Secondary. Default Primary.
Examples
- A marketing agency's "Watch our work" page: Video Gallery as a Video library with categories "Ads", "Brand films" and "Testimonials", search on.
- A gym's homepage banner: Video Gallery as a Showcase hero, background changing every 5 seconds, button "Play our story".
- A web designer's template shop: Preview Gallery with one card per template, each previewing its demo site.
- A sign company's portfolio: Featured Work with 40 jobs, 2 rows, Full rows only, each card linking to a "Get a quote" form.
Limits and what it can't do
- None of the three widgets has Connect to Data. Use From a collection in the Manage window instead.
- Video Gallery takes YouTube, Vimeo and DailyMotion links, videos uploaded to the site, and client videos. Uploaded and client videos play in the same window as links.
- One video shows only the first video in the list.
- Many websites block being shown inside another site. Their preview window stays blank; visitors use Open in new tab ↗.
- Featured Work shows Rows × Thumbnails per row items at most; the rest are hidden.
- Clients with only Widget content can change items, but not the Design panel.
Who can use it
Anyone in your agency with the Mount Olympus tool. Client people need Editor to add, move, design or delete these widgets, or Widget content to change their items.
Troubleshooting
- A video has a blank thumbnail: an upload uses the poster picture made when it was processed, and a client video uses its own poster. A plain file link pasted in has none: add an image to that video in Manage Videos, or upload the file instead.
- The category buttons don't show: turn on Category filter buttons, and give the videos a Category. It only applies to Video library.
- The Library or Showcase Hero section is missing: each one only shows for its Show as choice in Manage Videos.
- The preview window is blank: that site refuses to be shown inside another site. There's nothing to fix on your side; Open in new tab ↗ still works.
- Featured Work shows fewer items than I added: raise Rows (0 = all) or set it to 0, or switch Last row to Show partial row.
- The Featured Work card covers the thumbnails at the edge: it flips to stay on screen; lower Card width if it still feels big.
