What costs credits

You pay credits for work that has a real cost behind it: Zeus writing or designing something, or a live lookup of search, map or backlink data. Viewing, editing, publishing, and anything Zeus does on his own monthly schedule are free.

How to see today's prices

1. Open Settings → Billing & credits and scroll to What things cost. Each row shows the task, its price and what it covers.
2. Or look at the button itself: paid buttons show the price before you click (free ones say Free).
3. The help page for each feature lists its live price too.

Prices are set by ContentForge and can change. The prices below are the launch prices; the button and What things cost always show today's price.

Price list

Writing and images:

• Content generation: 2 credits per page or blog post Zeus writes (hero image included). Covers the Content Generator, service and area pages, landing pages, and pages from Fill a template with Zeus.
• Content revision: 1 credit each time Zeus rewrites content with your changes (including Rewrite with notes on a press release).
• Zeus image: 1 credit per image Zeus creates, anywhere in ContentForge. Your own photos never cost anything.
• Social post pack: 1 credit per pack, however many networks it covers. Charged once written; a pack Zeus couldn't write is free. A new Zeus image for a post is charged as a Zeus image. See Social posts.
• Press release: 2 credits per release Zeus writes, charged once written. Sending it to news sites with Distribute is paid by card at checkout, not in credits. See Press releases.

Building sites:

• Create with Zeus page: 2 credits per page Zeus designs and writes (every page, service / area page and starter post). Zeus images are 1 credit each on top.
• Zeus site import: 10 credits per page imported from an existing site (also when the site keeps its own layout), charged as each page finishes. See Import an existing site.
• Zeus design import: 10 credits per page Zeus builds from a design (images, a PDF or a design file), charged as each page finishes; a page that fails is free. See Import a design.
• Zeus widget builder: 1 credit each time Zeus builds or changes a custom widget.
• Zeus editor change: 1 credit per change after your plan's included Zeus messages are used (see below).
• Zeus editor page build: 2 credits per page Zeus builds or rebuilds in the editor after your included messages are used.

Translating (see Multi-language sites):

• Zeus page translation: 1 credit per page, per language. Only pages Zeus actually translated are charged.
• Zeus item translation: 1 credit for every 5 collection items (service / area pages and other lists), per language, rounded up. 12 items into Spanish is 3 credits.
• Zeus blog post translation: 1 credit per blog post, per language.

SEO tools and Zeus scans:

• Map scan: 1 credit per keyword, any grid size.
• Keyword research: 1 credit per Keyword Forge report (keyword or website).
• Local SEO audit: 2 credits per audit.
• Competitor analysis: 10 credits per report. It's one of the bigger charges because each run makes dozens of live lookups.
• Competitor keyword gaps: 5 credits each time you click Analyze on a saved competitor (client Local → Competitors). Zeus's monthly scan refreshes them free.
• Backlink analysis: 1 credit per backlink analysis or client snapshot.
• Backlink detail lookup: 1 credit per lookup of referring domains, broken links, history or link gap that isn't already saved.
• Citation audit: 1 credit per audit.
• GBP optimizer: 1 credit per run.
• Refresh FAQ questions: 1 credit for fresh "People Also Ask" questions. The schema audit itself is free, and the monthly Zeus scan refreshes them free.
• Summon Zeus scan: 5 credits for a manual Zeus scan of a client, on top of the free monthly one.

Google Ads:

• Zeus Ads Review: 2 credits when you click Run review now. The monthly review is free, and so is applying its fixes.
• Zeus campaign builder: 5 credits per campaign plan Zeus builds. Creating the campaign in Google Ads is free.

The price list may also show Rank tracking scan. Nothing charges it today: Track Rankings on a client's keywords is free.

Zeus in the editor: your monthly allowance

Each plan includes a number of Zeus messages a month in the Mount Olympus editor. At launch: Starter 50, Growth 150, Agency 450. Trials use the Starter amount.

• Every message counts against the allowance while you have some left, whether or not Zeus changes anything.
• If Zeus fails to answer, the message is given back.
• Once the allowance is used, answers that don't change anything stay free. A message that would change the page tells you the price first: "Your Growth plan's included Zeus messages for this month are used. This change will use 1 credit — confirm to apply it." Nothing is charged until you confirm. An unconfirmed change is dropped after 30 minutes.
• Zeus images are always 1 credit each, allowance or not.
• The allowance resets each month with your plan credits.

Always free

• Zeus chat in the dashboard, and blog idea suggestions.
• Zeus's monthly automatic scan of each client, his automatic map scans, weather alerts and Edicts.
• Zeus's Google Business Profile post drafts, both the monthly ones and Draft with Zeus.
• Write with Zeus on a text widget, blog post or popup.
• Translating the header, footer, menu, forms, cookie notice, Business Text and popups, and updating text that changed since an earlier translation.
• Meta tags, image alt text, blog post SEO, internal links and the schema generator.
• Generate FAQ, "Add FAQ for me" and "Add link for me".
• Tighten with Zeus in a client's citation submission kit.
• Legal pages (Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Cookie Policy), including Zeus polishing their wording, the cookie banner and the accessibility checker. See Legal pages.
• Fix readability after an import, and page-name suggestions when you import a design.
• Imports from a supported website builder that keep the site's own layout. Only pages Zeus rebuilds cost credits.
• Duplicate site, Export site, backups and restores.
• Track Rankings on SEO → Keywords, scheduled rank checks and scheduled backlink snapshots.
• AI Visibility checks.
• The monthly Zeus Ads Review, conversion tracking with Zeus and negative keywords.
• Brand voice building, refining writing rules, redirect matching for a new site, and Google reviews refreshes.
• The prospect tool: reports and redesigns.
• Writing a social post yourself (New post), copying, downloading and marking posts as posted.
• Editing a press release, copying, downloading, marking it distributed, sending it for client approval and publishing it to the site newsroom.
• Building, editing and publishing sites yourself. (Publishing has a hosting charge in money, not credits. See Plans and hosted sites.)

Examples

• A new plumber's site with Create with Zeus. 8 pages and 6 Zeus images: 8 × 2 + 6 × 1 = 22 credits.
• Adding Spanish to that site. 8 pages and 10 service-area items: 8 + 2 = 10 credits. The header, footer and forms are free.
• Monthly SEO for one client. 5 map-scan keywords (5), one Local SEO audit (2) and one citation audit (1) = 8 credits. The monthly Zeus scan is free.
• Importing a 20-page site that Zeus rebuilds: 20 × 5 = 100 credits.

Limits and what it can't do

• Prices apply to the whole agency. There are no per-client or per-user prices.
• You can't pre-buy a set number of one task; every task comes out of the same credit balance.
• Prices can change. The price shown on the button when you click is the one you pay.

Who can use it

Everyone on the team can see prices and spend credits on the tools they have access to. Only the Owner or an Admin can buy credits. Client people don't spend credits.

Troubleshooting

• "… needs N credits — you have M. Buy credits to continue.": you don't have enough credits. Nothing was charged. Buy a pack or wait for your refill.
• I was charged for a task that failed: failed tasks give their credits back automatically. Look for a Refund — … row in Credit history. If it's not there after a few minutes, contact support.
• A site import cost more than I expected: you pay per page Zeus rebuilds, so a site with many pages adds up fast. You choose the pages before the import starts.
• The editor asked me to confirm credits: your plan's included Zeus messages for the month are used. Confirm to pay for that one change, or wait for next month's reset.
