ContentForge has three plans: Starter, Growth and Agency. The Plans section on Billing & credits shows each plan's current price, the credits included every month and the price per hosted site. You can also compare them on the public pricing page.
The plans
At launch the plans are:
- Starter: $97 a month, up to 10 clients, 100 credits a month, $15 a month per hosted site, 50 Zeus editor messages a month.
- Growth: $297 a month, unlimited clients, 400 credits a month, $10 a month per hosted site, 150 Zeus editor messages a month, white-label.
- Agency: $497 a month, unlimited clients, 1,000 credits a month, $5 a month per hosted site, 450 Zeus editor messages a month, white-label.
Prices and allowances can change. Today's prices are always on Billing & credits → Plans.
Every plan gets the same tools, the client portal, and unlimited team members at no extra charge.
What changes between plans
- Clients: Starter includes up to 10 clients; Growth and Agency have no limit. Your My Agency client doesn't count. The Clients page shows "8 of 10 clients" on Starter. If you're over the limit (say you moved down from Growth), you keep every client; you just can't add one until you upgrade or are under 10.
- Monthly credits: bigger plans include more. See How credits work.
- Hosted site price: bigger plans pay less per hosted site.
- Zeus editor messages: the number of Zeus messages included each month in the Mount Olympus editor. After that, a change Zeus makes costs credits. See What costs credits.
- White-label: Growth and Agency only. That covers your own branding in the client portal and editor, hiding "Powered by ContentForge", a custom client domain, and branded PDF reports. Starter has no white-label features. See White-label branding.
Monthly or annual
Every plan can be paid monthly or annually. Annual costs 10 months' price for 12, so you get 2 months free. Use the Monthly / Annual switch above the plans to compare: annual shows the per-month equivalent and the yearly total. Annual plans still get their plan credits every month; you just pay for the year up front.
Hosted sites
A hosted site is a Mount Olympus site that is published. Hosted sites have their own subscription, separate from your plan, at your plan's per-site price.
- Drafts are free and unlimited. Build as many sites as you like; you only pay once a site is published.
- Monthly or annual. Hosted sites have their own Monthly / Annual switch in the Hosted sites card (annual is also 10 × the monthly price), whatever your plan uses.
- One billing day. Hosted sites renew on the same day as your plan. On an annual plan with monthly hosted sites, they renew on your plan's day of the month.
- Publishing a site charges the rest of the current billing period straight away, then the site renews on your billing day. The publish box tells you the amount first. Your first published site starts the hosted-sites subscription, and its charge is its own invoice ("Hosted sites: … rest of the billing period").
- Unpublishing doesn't refund the current period. The lower count applies from your next billing day.
- Your agency's own website is included. One published site for your My Agency client (your agency's own entry on the Clients page) is free on every plan. When you publish it, the publish box says "Your agency's own website is included in your plan, so publishing it adds nothing to your bill." and the Hosted sites card shows Your agency's own website: included. It isn't counted in Published sites.
- A second My Agency site bills normally. If one My Agency site is already live, the publish box for another says "Your plan already includes one agency website (it's live), so this one is billed like any other site." and shows the usual charge.
- Apart from your agency's own website, no plan includes free hosted sites.
- Some Zeus features, like AI Visibility, only run for clients whose site is hosted on Mount Olympus.
A worked bill
You're on Growth, monthly, billed on the 3rd, with 3 published sites:
- Plan: $297
- Hosted sites: 3 × $10 = $30
- Total each month: $327 (before tax), plus any credit packs you buy.
On the 18th you publish a 4th site. The publish box shows the charge for the 15 days left in the period (about half of $10), charged now. From the next 3rd, hosted sites are 4 × $10 = $40, so the monthly total is $337.
The same agency on annual for both: $2,970 for the plan and 3 × $100 = $300 for hosted sites, billed once a year, with 400 plan credits still refilling every month.
The 14-day free trial (with a card)
Sign-up starts a 14-day free trial on the plan you pick. You add a card, but nothing is charged until the trial ends; the sign-up page and Billing & credits show the exact date. On that date your plan starts automatically, unless you cancel first. We email the owner 3 days before.
- The trial includes a one-time grant of trial credits (the same number as the Starter plan's monthly credits). Your plan's monthly credits start with your first paid invoice.
- Publishing is free during the trial. Hosted-site billing starts on the trial's end date, for the sites published then.
- You get your chosen plan's features, including team members, and white-label if you picked Growth or Agency. Inviting team members and clients waits until you confirm your email (see Getting started).
- Each card can be used for one free trial.
Invitation trials (no card)
ContentForge sometimes sends an invitation trial link (it opens a page under /signup/trial). It doesn't need a card.
- Open the link. You'll see "You've been invited to a 30-day trial. No card needed." (or the length set on your invite).
- Enter your Agency name, Work email and a password. If the invite is for one person, the email is filled in and locked: "This invite is for this email address."
- Confirm your email from the message we send. Your trial starts as soon as you do.
What's different from the card trial:
- It lasts 30 days unless your invite says otherwise.
- You get one-time trial credits for Zeus's paid tools. They don't refill.
- No team members. You can't invite staff until you subscribe.
- No white-label features.
- Hosted sites aren't billed: "Hosted sites are billed once you're on a paid plan."
- Nothing is ever charged, because there's no card. To keep going, subscribe to a plan from Billing & credits any time, before or after the trial ends. See How to manage your subscription.
Examples
- A solo consultant with 4 local clients: Starter (up to 10 clients). 100 credits covers monthly map scans and a few blog posts; 4 hosted sites add $60.
- An agency reselling under its own brand: Growth or Agency, because white-label is included.
- An agency with 40 hosted sites: Agency. The lower per-site price ($5 vs $15) saves $400 a month on hosting alone.
Limits and what it can't do
- You can't mix plans: one plan per agency.
- Starter is limited to 10 clients (My Agency doesn't count). Adding an 11th, from Add Client, the onboarding form, an import or Zeus's tools, says "Starter includes up to 10 clients. Upgrade to Growth to add more."
- Team seats are free on every paid plan and trial with a card, but not on invitation trials.
- There's no free hosting tier and no per-site discount beyond the plan's price. The one exception is your agency's own website (one published My Agency site).
- Unpublishing mid-period doesn't give money back for that period.
Who can use it
Everyone on the team can see the plans and prices on Billing & credits. Only the agency Owner or an Admin can start, change or cancel a plan. Members see the plans without any buttons.
Troubleshooting
- "This invite link isn't valid." / "Invalid invite code": the link is wrong or was cut off. Copy the full link from the email, or ask whoever sent it for a new one.
- "This invite has expired": ask ContentForge for a new invite, or start a normal 14-day trial from the page's start a free trial link.
- "This invite has reached its maximum number of uses": the invite has been used up. Ask for a new one.
- "This invite is for a different email address": sign up with the email address the invite was sent to.
- "This card already had a free trial": each card gets one trial. Use a different card, or subscribe straight away.
- I can't invite team members: you're on an invitation trial. Subscribe to any plan to add them.
- White-label settings are locked: you're on Starter, or on an invitation trial. Growth and Agency include white-label.
- My agency's website shows a charge in the publish box: another site under My Agency is already live and is the included one. Unpublish that one first if you'd rather this one be the free site, or check that the site belongs to the My Agency client, not a regular client.
- The plan buttons are missing: only the Owner or an Admin sees them. If you are one and see "Online plan checkout is being set up — contact us to switch.", contact support.
