How to white-label the editor and client portal

Put your agency's name, logo, colors, favicon and sharing card on the site builder and client-facing pages, and hide "Powered by ContentForge".

Updated October 18, 2026

On Growth and Agency plans, including their 14-day free trials, your clients see your brand instead of ContentForge's. On Starter and on an invitation trial, the site builder and client pages use ContentForge's name, logo and colors.

Brand the site builder

Go to Settings → Branding. Under Site builder:

  • Site builder name: shown instead of "Mount Olympus" in the top bar and browser tab, up to 40 characters. Leave it blank to use your agency name followed by "Site Builder".
  • Logo for dark backgrounds: a white or light version of your logo. See which logo shows where.
  • Main logo: your normal logo, for light backgrounds.
  • Main color: the top bar, side rail and buttons. Pick a dark color, because white text sits on it.
  • Accent color: the Publish button, highlights and focus rings. Pick a light color that stands out from the main color.

Type a hex color (like #1F3A5F) or use the color picker. Reset next to a color clears it. Upload or Replace adds a logo, and Remove takes it off.

Two live previews show your logo on the dark top bar and on a light page, with the contrast of white text on your main color. If a color is hard to read, the page tells you and the builder uses a readable color instead:

  • "White text isn't readable on this main color — the editor keeps ContentForge's. Choose a darker color."
  • "The main color isn't a valid hex color — ContentForge's is used."
  • "The accent needs to be lighter than the main color and stand out from it — another light shade is used instead."
  • "The accent color isn't a valid hex color."
  • "No accent set — a light shade of your main color is used." (just a note, not a problem)

Everyone who edits your clients' sites sees this branding, including your team and any client you give editor access. Your clients' published websites aren't changed. Zeus is always called Zeus.

Which logo shows where

Every place your logo appears picks the version made for its background:

  • Dark backgrounds use your Logo for dark backgrounds: your dashboard in dark mode, the site builder's top bar, shared site previews, and the cover of the SEO audit report.
  • Light backgrounds use your Main logo: your dashboard in light mode, the client portal (sign-in, invite, password reset, top bar and dashboard), the prospect tool, the onboarding form, the image upload page, and the inside pages of reports (SEO audit sign-off, rank tracking, analytics, competitor analysis and blog content).
  • Emails have a header in your Main color. If that color is dark, the email uses your Logo for dark backgrounds. If it's light, it uses your Main logo. This covers invites, password resets, the monthly overview email, comment and domain emails. The domain connection check page works the same way.
  • Emails sent for a client's business (contact form notifications and auto-replies) use the business's branding, not yours: a white header with the logo from the site's Business Info, or the site's Primary theme color behind a light logo, or the business name when there's no logo.

Each place shows exactly the logo you uploaded for its background, as you uploaded it. Nothing is added behind it, so pick each version to read well on its background:

  • If you only upload one logo, it's used everywhere, on light and dark backgrounds.
  • With no logo at all, your agency name is shown in a readable color.

Some email apps, such as Gmail and Outlook in dark mode, change email colors on their own. Your logo is picked for the header color you chose, so in those apps it can look different from what you see here.

When you upload a logo (here or under Settings → Profile), ContentForge trims away empty space around it, so it shows as large as possible on your dashboard, in emails, reports and the portal. Your logo itself isn't changed.

Browser icon and sharing card

Under Browser icon and sharing, add a Favicon (512 × 512 px PNG recommended; a PNG is also used as the phone home-screen icon), a Sharing image (1200 × 630 px), a Sharing title (up to 70 characters) and a Sharing description (up to 200 characters). Both text fields default to your agency name. Without a favicon, your initial on your main color is shown. These are used in the builder's browser tab and on your client domain: the portal, image uploads, the onboarding form and the prospect tool.

Click Save branding when you're done. You see "Branding saved — open a site in the editor to see it." Discard throws away changes you haven't saved. Uploads go up straight away but only take effect once you save.

Hide "Powered by ContentForge"

Go to Settings → Olympus and, in the White-label card, switch off Show "Powered by ContentForge" attribution. This removes the small line from the portal footer, the image upload page and the onboarding form. On Starter and trials the card shows Needs Growth or Agency plan and the line always shows. The other portal defaults on that page, the layout and billing day, work on every plan.

Emails to your clients and their visitors follow the plan, not this switch: on Growth and Agency they never show "Powered by ContentForge" (and nothing replaces it). On Starter and trials they always do. That covers form notifications and auto-replies, portal invites and password resets, approval emails, comment replies, the domain steps email and the monthly overview email. Emails ContentForge sends to you and your team can still mention ContentForge.

Good to know

  • The portal and the monthly email use your Main color and your agency name. Which logo they show is explained in which logo shows where.
  • Upload both logos as PNG or SVG with a transparent background: a dark version for the Main logo and a white or light version for Logo for dark backgrounds. Each is shown exactly as uploaded.
  • Only the agency owner or an admin can change branding. Others see "Only the agency owner or an admin can change branding."
  • On Starter the page shows "Your own branding is on the Growth and Agency plans" with a View plans button, and the fields are locked.
  • If you move to Starter, everything switches back to ContentForge branding until you upgrade again.

Limits

  • Main logo and Logo for dark backgrounds: PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG, up to 2 MB.
  • Favicon: ICO, PNG or SVG, up to 512 KB.
  • Sharing image: PNG or JPG, up to 5 MB (social sites don't read SVG or WebP reliably).
  • SVG files that contain scripts or links are refused.
  • Your clients' published websites keep their own logo, icon and sharing image. Branding here never changes them.

Examples

  • A dark-blue agency brand: main color #1F3A5F, accent a pale gold, white logo for dark backgrounds, full-color logo as the main logo.
  • One logo only: upload just the main logo. It's used everywhere, so pick a version that reads on both light and dark.
  • Links shared in texts and Slack: add a sharing image with your logo and tagline so portal links look like yours.

Who can use it

The agency owner or an admin, on Growth or Agency (including their trials).

Troubleshooting

  • "The file is too large (max 2048 KB)" (or max 512 KB, max 5120 KB): the file is over the limit for that slot. Export a smaller file.
  • "Use PNG, JPG, JPEG, WEBP, SVG" (or the list for that slot): that file type isn't accepted there. For example, the sharing image must be PNG or JPG.
  • "This SVG contains scripts or links — export it again without them, or use a PNG": export the SVG again as a plain image, or upload a PNG.
  • "The file is empty": the file didn't upload properly. Try again.
  • My color isn't used: read the warning under the color fields. The builder swaps unreadable colors for readable ones.
  • My logo has a box around it or looks small: upload a PNG or SVG with a transparent background. Empty space around it is trimmed automatically.
  • Nothing changed in the editor: click Save branding, then reload the editor.
