How to use the prospect tool

Share a branded link where a business owner enters their website and gets a free SEO report and two redesign previews, while you capture them as a lead and get an email for every one.

Updated October 15, 2026

The prospect tool is a public page with your agency's branding. A business owner types in their website address and, in about 5 to 20 seconds, gets their SEO score out of 100 and their top three issues. The full report has 15 checks in four groups (search appearance, content, speed & mobile, trust & local), each with a plain-English fix. It also has two redesign previews of their homepage, which Zeus builds from their own words, logo, colors and photos. It's a strong way to start a sales conversation.

The page never mentions ContentForge or Zeus: visitors only see your brand, and the wording is "we".

Turn it on and share it

  1. Go to Client Management → Prospect Tool.
  2. Switch on Enable Prospect Tool.
  3. Under Your Prospect Tool Link, copy the link. Use Preview Tool to try it yourself.
  4. Put the link on your website, in ads, emails or social posts.

The page shows your agency logo, colors and contact details from your Profile.

What the visitor sees

  • Score first. As soon as the check finishes, the box at the top becomes a "Report for example.com" bar with Analyze another site. Their score, a one-line verdict and their top three issues sit at the top of the page.
  • Section links. A bar under the header jumps to Summary, Full report, Redesign and Next steps.
  • Unlock in place. With Lead Capture on, the panel under the score says Enter your details to unlock the full report. After they fill it in, the full report and the redesign previews open right there on the page.
  • Redesign previews. Concept A (light, editorial) and Concept B (bold, dark), shown on desktop or phone, with a full-screen view. They use only what's on the prospect's site: no invented reviews, years or awards.
  • Next steps. Their top fixes, next to your booking widget or your contact details.
  • Refresh-safe. The report stays in the page address, so refreshing the page or sharing the link brings it back.

Make it work harder

  • Lead Capture: switch it on to ask for contact details before the full report and redesign previews. Choose which fields to show (First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone, Business Name) and their order, then click Save Lead Capture. If the form asks for email or phone, the visitor must give at least one so you can reach them. Every lead appears on your Prospects page.
  • New Lead Emails: every new lead emails you the lead's details, the site they analyzed, its score, their biggest issues and a link to the lead. By default it goes to the account owner. To send it somewhere else, add up to 5 addresses under Send lead emails to and click Save Lead Emails. Reply to the email to write to the lead directly. New leads also show on your Prospects page with a blue dot, and as a New lead notification in the bell that opens the lead.
  • Booking Widget: paste a scheduling widget's embed code (for example from Calendly) so prospects can book a call right from their report. Click Save Widget.
  • Case Studies: click Add Case Study to show your results. Each has a Title (required), Description, Image (Upload Image) and up to 3 Key Wins, like "340% increase in organic traffic". Click Create to add it. To change one later, click the pencil (Edit) on its row, make your changes and click Update. To remove one, click the bin (Delete) and confirm.
  • Conversion Tracking: add your Meta Pixel ID, Google Ads Conversion ID and Google Ads Conversion Label to track visits and leads from your ads. The page view fires on load. The Lead conversion fires once per report: when the lead form is accepted, or when the report is shown if Lead Capture is off. Click Save Tracking. Leave a box empty to switch that tracker off.

Tracking ID formats

Each ID is checked when you save, and again when the page runs:

  • Meta Pixel ID: digits only, 8 to 20 of them. Example: 123456789012345.
  • Google Ads Conversion ID: AW- followed by 6 to 15 digits. Example: AW-123456789. Lower-case "aw-" is fixed for you.
  • Google Ads Conversion Label: letters, numbers, dashes and underscores, up to 64 characters. Example: AbC-D_efG-h12_34-56.

Usage Analytics shows how many analyses have been run today, yesterday, in the last 7 and 30 days, and all time.

Examples

  • A roofing agency's Facebook ad: the ad links to the prospect tool. Lead Capture asks for First Name, Email and Phone. The Meta Pixel counts each unlocked report as a Lead, so you can see which ad brings in real inquiries.
  • Cold email follow-up: paste the link in your email with "See your free website score". The new-lead email lands with the business owner's biggest issues, ready for your call.
  • Booking straight from the report: paste your Calendly or GoHighLevel embed in Booking Widget. Prospects book a call next to their top fixes.
  • Proof that you deliver: add two case studies with key wins like "#1 ranking for 12 local keywords" so the page backs up your pitch.

Good to know

  • Prospect analyses don't use your credits.
  • The check reads the visitor's home page once. If the same site was checked in the last 7 days, the saved results are reused instantly.
  • Some websites block automated checks. The visitor then sees a friendly message suggesting they book a call instead.
  • The lead form has built-in spam protection, so bots are dropped without emailing you.
  • Regenerate Link gives you a new link and the old one stops working (you're asked to confirm first).
  • If you've set up a client domain on Growth or Agency, the link uses your own domain.
  • You can ask Zeus "what's my prospect tool link?" in the chat.

Limits and what it can't do

  • Each visitor can run 6 reports an hour. Each link handles up to 200 reports an hour, and your agency up to 1,000 a day.
  • Redesign previews are limited to 150 new sites per day per agency. Past that, visitors still get their full report, and the redesign section invites them to book a call.
  • The check reads the home page only, not every page of the site.
  • Lead emails go to up to 5 addresses.
  • Case studies have up to 3 key wins each. Case study images must be image files.
  • There's one prospect tool link per agency, not one per campaign. Use different ads or tracking IDs to tell campaigns apart.
  • Only public website addresses can be analyzed.

Credits

Prospect reports and redesign previews are free. They don't use your credits.

Who can use it

Agency owners and admins, plus team members who have the Prospect Tool tool (under Client Management on Team Members). Seeing the leads needs the Prospects tool. Clients never see these settings.

Troubleshooting

  • "Meta Pixel ID doesn't look right — it should look like 123456789012345" (or the same for the Google Ads boxes): the ID isn't in the format above. Copy just the ID, not the whole tracking snippet. The Google Ads Conversion ID must start with AW-.
  • "One of the lead email addresses doesn't look right": check for typos and separate addresses with commas.
  • "Add up to 5 lead email addresses": remove some addresses.
  • "Please upload an image file": case study images must be an image (JPG, PNG and so on), not a PDF or document.
  • "Case study title is required": add a Title before you click Create.
  • Visitors see "This page is currently unavailable.": Enable Prospect Tool is switched off. Switch it on.
  • Visitors see "This link isn't valid.": the link was regenerated. Copy the new link from Your Prospect Tool Link and update your ads and website.
  • Visitors see "You've run a lot of reports — try again in…", "We're busy right now…" or "We've reached today's limit for free reports…": one of the limits above was reached. It resets on its own.
  • Visitors see "That doesn't look like a website address.": they need to type a site like yourbusiness.com.
  • "That report has expired. Run a new one below.": an old shared report link was opened. Run the check again.
  • No lead email arrived: open the lead on Prospects. The bottom of the panel says whether the email was sent or why it wasn't. Check your spam folder and the addresses under Send lead emails to.
  • Nothing shows on Prospects: Lead Capture must be on for leads to be saved.
  • "Tool access required": your owner or an admin has switched off the Prospect Tool tool for you.
