This is for you and your team signing in to the ContentForge dashboard. Your clients sign in to their own portal instead: see Client portal sign-in.
How to sign in
- Open the sign-in page ("Welcome back").
- Enter your Email and Password.
- Click Sign in. You see "Signing in…" and then your dashboard.
Where you land:
- Most people land on the Dashboard.
- If you signed up but haven't added a card yet, you go to the plan and card step.
- If your agency's plan was canceled, you land on Billing & credits to pick a plan again.
- If setup isn't finished, the dashboard sends you to Setup with Zeus.
New to ContentForge? Click Start a 14-day free trial under the form. Invited to someone's agency? Use your invite email instead: see How to accept a team invite.
To sign out, click Sign out at the bottom of the sidebar.
How to reset a forgotten password
- On the sign-in page, click Forgot password? (next to Password).
- Enter the email you sign in with and click Send reset link.
- You see "If that email has an account, a reset link is on its way. Check your inbox." For privacy, the message is the same whether or not the email has an account.
- Open the email and click the link. It opens Choose a new password.
- Enter New password and Confirm new password, then click Save password.
- You're signed in and taken to the dashboard. We email you to say your password was changed.
The reset link works once and lasts 1 hour. If it doesn't arrive, check spam, or click try again on the "Check your email" screen.
If you were invited to an agency and never set a password, this also works: saving a new password finishes your invite, and you don't get a "password changed" email.
Password rules
The rules tick off as you type:
- At least 10 characters (and no more than 128).
- A letter.
- A number.
- Not your email address (or the part before the @).
How to change your password while signed in
Open Settings → Profile, scroll to Account Security, enter New Password and Confirm New Password, and click Update Password. See How to set up your agency profile. Your Owner or an Admin can also send you a reset link from Settings → Team Members.
Examples
- New laptop, can't remember your password: click Forgot password?, send the link, open it on the new laptop within the hour and choose a new password.
- A teammate is locked out: they use Forgot password? themselves, or the Owner sends them a reset link from Team Members.
- You haven't confirmed your email yet: you can still sign in. Click Resend confirmation link on Settings → Profile for a new link.
- You joined with an invitation trial and never confirmed: try to sign in, then click Need a new link? next to the message.
Limits and what it can't do
- A reset link lasts 1 hour and works once.
- Reset emails are limited; if you ask for too many in a short time you have to wait a few minutes.
- If many bad or used links are opened from one network, link pages lock for a short time ("Too many attempts — try again later.").
- There's no sign-in with Google and no two-step sign-in code.
- You can't reuse a password you've used on this account before.
- Client portal logins are separate. A client's portal password doesn't work here, and yours doesn't work in their portal.
Who can use it
Everyone with a ContentForge agency login: Owners, Admins and Members.
Troubleshooting
- "That email and password don't match. Check them and try again.": check for typos and caps lock. Still stuck? Use Forgot password?.
- "Check your email to confirm your account before signing in.": this only shows for invitation trials. Click the link in your "Confirm your ContentForge account" email, or click Need a new link?.
- "That confirmation link has expired or was already used.": if you already confirmed, sign in below the message. Otherwise sign up again with the same email for a new link.
- "That confirmation link has expired or was replaced.": sign in, then click Resend confirmation link on Settings → Profile. Use the newest email.
- "Email confirmed": your email is confirmed. Sign in to continue.
- "Too many attempts — try again later.": too many bad links from your network. Wait a few minutes and try again.
- "Too many reset emails — wait a few minutes and try again.": you asked for several links in a row. Wait, then use the newest email.
- "That reset link has expired or was already used. Send yourself a new one.": the link is over an hour old or you've used it. Ask for a new one on the same page.
- "This reset link has expired. Ask for a new one." (when saving): the page lost the link's sign-in. Click Send a new link.
- "Choose a password you haven't used here before.": pick a different password.
- "The two passwords don't match.": type the same password in both boxes.
- "Enter a valid email address, like you@agency.com.": check the email you typed.
- The reset email never arrives: check spam and promotions, and check you used the email you sign in with. If you changed your sign-in email recently, use the new one.
- "Your account isn't linked to an agency yet." after signing in: see Your dashboard.
