The Site Dashboard puts a site's stats, SEO and AEO tools, compliance and backups on one full screen. Use it to see how a site is doing and to work through what to fix.
How to open it
- Open a site in the editor and click SEO/AEO in the left rail.
- The Site Dashboard opens over the editor. Pick a section on the left. Click a group name to fold it away.
- Press Esc or the X at the top right to go back to editing.
The open section is kept in the address, so a refresh or a shared link opens the same screen.

The Compliance card on Highlights
Highlights shows a Compliance card with only the parts you're allowed to open:
- Cookie banner: On with its mode (and whether there's a cookie settings link in the footer), or Off with "Visitors aren’t asked about cookies." The button is Turn on or Settings, and opens Settings → Privacy. See Cookie banner.
- Legal pages: each page marked Live, Draft, Missing or Not generated. The button is Create, Review or Open, and opens Cookies & Legal.
- Accessibility: the latest score and when it was checked, or "Not checked yet." The button is Check, Fix, Open or View progress, and opens Accessibility.
When the site is live on its own domain, Highlights can also show Set up Search Console (opens Settings → Google Tools) until you set it up or click Not now.
Where the numbers come from
- Highlights and Traffic show Google first. When Google Analytics (GA4) or Search Console is connected for the site's client, they show visits, key events, visits from Google search, visits by channel, and Search Console clicks and top searches. The site's own built-in stats show only when neither is connected. This is the same rule as the client portal.
- Built-in stats count only visits to the published site, not the editor or previews. No cookies are set and no IP addresses are stored.
- Engagement always uses the built-in stats, because Google doesn't count these clicks. It counts click-to-call, form submissions, click-to-email and map clicks, plus WhatsApp, text message, outbound link and download clicks when there are any.
- Visibility shows Search Console data: Clicks from Google, Impressions, Click-through rate, Average position and Top searches, for up to the last 90 days. If Search Console isn't connected, agency people get a Set up Google for this client → link to the client's Analytics tab.
- Use the date picker to switch between Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days and Last 12 months.
Content Suggestions
Post and page ideas built from the client's tracked keywords, competitor keyword gaps and Zeus recommendations.
- Click Suggest content (later Refresh suggestions). Zeus writes up to 10 ideas. Agency people only.
- Each idea shows its type (Blog post, Page or FAQ), the Target keyword, why it's worth writing, a Suggested outline and Copy title.
- Click Mark done or Dismiss. Use the To do, Done and Dismissed tabs to see each list, and Move back to To do to undo.
It needs data: if the client has no tracked keywords, competitors or recommendations, you see a note asking you to add some first. Refreshing keeps the done and dismissed state of ideas that come back.
Off Page Suggestions
A list built from the client's data, with no Zeus writing. It's built the first time you open it; click Refresh suggestions to rebuild it.
- Each item has a priority (High priority, Medium priority or Nice to have) and a type: Directory listing, Business details, Google Business Profile, Reviews, Social profile or Recommendation.
- Examples: connect the Google Business Profile, ask for more Google reviews when there are fewer than 25, fix business details that don't match on a directory, get listed on directories where competitors are, and off-page Zeus recommendations.
- Items with a link have an Open button. Use Mark done, Dismiss and the same three tabs as Content Suggestions.
For a deeper check, run a citation audit.
Internal Links
Every link between the site's own pages, including links in the header and footer (marked "every page").
- The card shows how many links there are, how many pages are linked to, and how many are broken.
- Broken (N) (the default) and All Links tabs.
- Each row shows Page, Link text, Goes to, Status (OK, Redirected when a URL redirect covers it, or Broken) and Go to element.
- Fix a broken link by pointing it at a page that exists, or add a URL redirect.
External Links
Every link to another website.
- Click Check links to test them all. A message says how many didn't work, and the list switches to Broken if any did.
- Each row's Status is Not checked, OK, Redirects or Broken (with the error code), plus nofollow if the link is marked that way.
- Click Go to element to fix a link in the editor.
The result is saved, so the Site Audit can show broken external links.
Examples
- Monday check-in on a client site: open Highlights for visits and the Compliance card, then Site Audit for anything new.
- Planning next month's blog: open Content Suggestions, click Refresh suggestions, copy the titles you like and mark the rest Dismissed.
- After moving pages around: open Internal Links to find Broken links, then add redirects in Additional Settings.
- Before a launch: run Check links in External Links and the accessibility check in Accessibility.
Limits and what it can't do
- Content Suggestions and Off Page Suggestions use the client's keywords, competitors, citations, Business Profile and Zeus recommendations, so they're only useful when the site is linked to a client with that data.
- Visibility shows at most the last 90 days, even with Last 12 months chosen.
- Built-in stats start counting only once the site is published.
- Changes made in the SEO screens go into the draft. Republish to put them live.
Credits
The Site Dashboard is free, including Content Suggestions, Off Page Suggestions and link checks.
Who can use it
- Agency people with the Mount Olympus tool see every section.
- Client people see the SEO/AEO button if they have at least one of Site performance & stats, Site Audit, SEO settings, Blog or Site backup. Inside, each section needs:
- Performance sections: Site performance & stats.
- Site Audit, Content Suggestions, Off Page Suggestions, AI Visibility and Accessibility: Site Audit or SEO settings.
- Page SEO, Image Alt Text, Internal Links, External Links, Additional Settings and AEO Settings: SEO settings.
- Blog SEO: SEO settings or Blog.
- Cookies & Legal: Editor.
- Site Backup: Site backup.
- Client people can view and mark Content Suggestions but can't create them, because Zeus is agency only.
- A client person with SEO settings who can't open the editor's Settings menu sees Google Tools in the dashboard instead.
Troubleshooting
- "You don’t have access to any dashboard sections.": you're a client person with none of the permissions above. Ask your agency.
- A section is missing from the list: you don't have the permission it needs. See Who can use it.
- Visibility says "Google Search Console isn’t connected for this site yet.": connect it for the client, or use Set up Search Console in Settings → Google Tools.
- "The Google account connection has expired.": reconnect Google for the client.
- Content Suggestions says there's no keyword or competitor data: add tracked keywords or competitors for the client first.
- "Couldn’t write suggestions right now — try again": Zeus couldn't finish. Click Refresh suggestions again.
- "Zeus is only available to your agency": client people can't create Content Suggestions.
- Built-in stats show nothing: "Stats start counting once the site is published." Only visits to the live site count.
