Booking service area, zones, places and flat fares

Draw zones or paste ZIP codes, mark your service area, add fixed places like airports and hotels as quick picks, and set flat fares between zones and places for each vehicle.

Zones

A zone is an area on the map: a drawn shape, a circle, a list of ZIP codes, or any mix of them. An address is in the zone when any of them matches, so you only enter a zone once.

  1. Open the Service area, zones & places step and click Add zone.
  2. Give it a name, such as "Airport" or "Downtown".
  3. Draw it:
    • Draw a shape: click the map to add corners, then Finish shape. Undo point takes back the last corner.
    • Add a circle: set the radius in miles, then click the map for the center.
    • Or open Paste a shape's points instead and paste one "lat, lng" pair per line.
  4. Or type ZIP codes, separated by commas, spaces or new lines.
  5. Click Save.

Use the address box above the map to move it to a place. Other zones show faintly on the map, and fixed places show as orange dots.

Service area

Tick Service area on the zones where pickups and drop-offs are allowed. Customers outside them get a clear message straight away. With no zone ticked, trips can start and end anywhere.

Fixed places

A fixed place is a named point such as "JFK Airport" or a hotel.

  • Search for the address to set its map point.
  • Counts as this place within: addresses this close (in miles) count as the place, so any terminal address matches the airport.
  • Stands for zone: flat fares and rules for that zone apply to this place too.
  • Show as a quick pick: customers can pick it in one tap on the booking form.

Flat fares

A flat fare is a fixed price between two zones or places, for example Downtown to JFK: Sedan $95, SUV $125.

  1. Open Flat fares and click Add flat fare.
  2. Pick From and To (a zone or a place). Both directions gives the trip back the same price.
  3. Type a price for each vehicle. Leave a vehicle empty to price it with its normal rates.
  4. Optional: give it a Route name to show it as a named route, and limit it to some services.

When a flat fare matches a trip, it replaces the distance price. Stop, waiting and bag fees still apply. A fare from a place beats a fare from that place's zone, and when two fares match, the one higher in the list wins (drag to reorder).
