Booking vehicles, services and prices

Add vehicle classes and how many of each, set up point-to-point and hourly services, and price each vehicle per mile, by trip length, by the hour, by flat fare or per passenger — with minimums, stops, waiting time, bags and return rides.

Vehicles

Each vehicle class is a kind of vehicle customers can book, such as "Sedan" or "14-passenger Sprinter".

  • How many you have: up to this many bookings can overlap. With 3 sedans, a 4th sedan booking at the same time shows as booked up.
  • Seats and Bags: the vehicle isn't offered for trips with more passengers or bags. Leave them empty for no limit.
  • Photo, More photos, Description and Features (Wi-Fi, bar, leather seats) are shown on the booking form.
  • Runs on: pick days to limit when it can be booked; empty means every day.
  • Offer this vehicle: switch it off to keep it without taking bookings.

Drag the grip on the left of a row to change the order customers see. Add closed dates for one class under Vehicle closed dates.

Services

A service is what the customer books.

  • Point to point: from a pickup, through optional stops, to a drop-off. You can offer a return ride (a round trip with its own pickup time for the ride back), stops on the way, and waiting time.
  • By the hour: the car and driver for a number of hours. Set the fewest and most hours and the steps (for example 2 to 12 hours, in steps of 1). The drop-off address can be optional.

Vehicles limits which vehicle classes a service uses. Traffic padding adds a % to the drive time the map gives, and Shortest trip / Longest trip limit the distance.

Pricing

Each vehicle has its own prices on each service. Click a row to set them, then pick how the price is worked out:

  • Per mile: base fare + miles × the rate per mile, plus an optional rate per minute of driving.
  • Per mile by trip length: the rate depends on the length of the trip. Either the whole trip pays its band's rate, or each stretch pays its own rate (first 10 miles at one rate, the next at another).
  • Hourly: hours × the rate per hour, with Minimum hours. Add Miles included per hour and a rate for miles above that, if the business charges for mileage.
  • Flat fares only: the price comes from Flat fares. Trips no flat fare covers aren't offered for this vehicle.
  • Per passenger: a price per adult and per child. You can also charge per passenger on top of any other model.

Fees and minimums

These work with every model:

  • Minimum fare: a cheaper trip is topped up to this.
  • Per stop, Waiting time (per minute or per hour, with free minutes), Per bag (with free bags), and Per passenger above a number of people.

Return ride

For a round trip, the ride back is priced as its own ride, at its own time (so a late-night rule only applies to the late leg). Choose Same price, A % of the price (for example 90% for 10% off), or Its own rates.

More

  • Use a flat fare when one matches the trip: when a flat fare covers the trip, it replaces the price above. Switch it off to always use the rates.
  • Tax: the tax rate for this vehicle's price lines.

A warning shows when a vehicle has no prices for a service, or when every price is empty and the trip would cost $0.
