Store → Discounts → Create discount.
- What it takes off: % off, $ off, Free shipping, or Buy X get Y.
- Applies to: the whole order, or chosen products or categories.
- Minimum spend, Starts / Ends (the business's time zone), Sites, Total uses, Uses per customer, First order only, and Works with other discounts.
- A code is typed by customers in the cart or at checkout (not case-sensitive; Make one up suggests one). An automatic discount applies by itself.
The Summary shows what it does and the sales with this code.
Limits hold under a rush
Limits are checked when the shopper presses Pay: 200 total uses means 200, even if many people pay at once. A discount that doesn't work with others never stacks: the shopper gets whichever is worth more.
