Every time an AI assistant fetches a page of a published site, it's counted. Use it to see which assistants know the site, and to spot an assistant your AI crawler setting is blocking.
Where it is
- Site Dashboard → Performance → AI visits (marked NEW).
- Highlights shows the LLM visits card: a ring by assistant with the total, "Answering someone right now" and "Visitors from AI assistants". Details → opens AI visits.
- The client's SEO → AI Visibility tab shows the same page for all the client's sites.
Two kinds of visit
- Answering someone now: an assistant opened the page because a person asked it something right now. These are the valuable ones.
- Learning about you: assistants reading the site to learn it or to build their search index.
What the page shows
- Choose 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or 12 months.
- Four tiles: AI assistant reads, Answering someone now, Learning about you and People from AI assistants, with the change against the period before.
- Reads over time, by assistant: one line per assistant. Switch between All, Answering now and Learning. Hover for the numbers each day.
- By assistant: reads, the answering / learning split and Check: Verified (the visit came from the company's own published addresses), Not verifiable (the company publishes none) or Mixed.
- Top pages read (page detail is kept 90 days; daily totals 13 months).
- Read your AI files: robots.txt, llms.txt and sitemap.xml reads.
- Visitors from AI assistants: people who clicked a link in an AI answer, by assistant.
Google-Extended and Applebot-Extended never appear: they're robots.txt settings, not visitors. Google reads the site as Googlebot for Search and its AI answers alike.
Fake visits
Anyone can pretend to be an AI crawler. Visits whose address isn't on the company's published list are left out. Your agency can switch on Include unverified to see them too; clients never see them, and they see friendly names only.
Blocked but trying
If the site's AI crawler setting blocks an assistant that still tries to read the site, a warning says so, for example "Your AI crawler setting blocks Claude, but it tried to visit 41 times." Click Open AEO Settings to change it.
In the portal and the monthly email
The client's What they see have an AI assistant visits switch (on in Search and local, Traffic and leads and Everything, off in The basics). While it's on, client people who can see AI visibility get an AI assistant visits card, and the monthly email gets an AI assistant visits section.

Limits and what it can't do
- Only published Mount Olympus sites are counted. Editor previews and draft links never count.
- Visits are counted from the day this started (2026-10-26). Older visits aren't known.
- People who clicked from an AI answer are counted only when the assistant passes its address along.
Troubleshooting
- "AI visits start counting once the AI crawler visits migration has run.": it isn't switched on yet. Contact support.
- "AI visits are counted once the site is published.": publish the site.
- "No AI assistant has read the site in this period yet.": try a longer range. New sites can take weeks to be found.
- "Not shared with you" (client people): the agency has AI assistant visits switched off for this client.
