Service photo folders explained

Each of a client's services keeps its photos in a media folder named after the service, and Zeus uses those real photos first when he builds pages.

Updated October 20, 2026

Real photos of a client's work beat stock images. ContentForge keeps them organized by service, so Zeus knows which photos belong on which page.

How it works

Each service on Client → Details (up to 20 services) has a photo box labeled with the service name, like Moss Removal photos. Under it you'll see which media folder they're kept in. You can add up to 30 photos per service: PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP, up to 5 MB each. Click the box or drop photos on it, or paste an image address in Or enter image URL.... Photos are saved with Save Changes.

Those photos live in a folder with the same name on Client → Media. A service with no name yet uses "Service 1", "Service 2" and so on.

Photos get into the folders three ways:

  • You upload them in the service's photo box on Client → Details.
  • The client uploads them on the onboarding form, which has one upload box per service.
  • You or the client upload through the upload link into that folder, or you move photos into it on Client → Media.

Renaming and removing

  • Rename a service and its folder goes with it, unless another service still uses the old name.
  • Two services with the same name share one folder.
  • Folders can't be renamed on Client → Media. To change a folder's name, rename the service.
  • Deleting a service's folder on Client → Media removes its photos from the client's media, so the service's photo box is empty afterwards.
  • Removing a photo from the service's box moves it back to the main media area. It is never deleted.

How Zeus uses them

  • Fill a template with Zeus puts a service's own photos into that service's page first, starting with the header, and only creates images for the slots that are left. You only pay for the images Zeus creates.
  • Create with Zeus treats folder photos as real photos and never puts one service's photos on another service's page.
  • Galleries: you can choose Zeus fills it with images. Real photos always go first, and Zeus only tops up a gallery that doesn't have enough. Those images are labeled as examples, never as real jobs, and each one costs an image credit.

Examples

  • A roofer with three services: Service 1 "Roof Replacement", Service 2 "Gutter Cleaning", Service 3 "Moss Removal". Each gets a folder of the same name. Zeus puts the gutter photos on the Gutter Cleaning page, never on the roof page.
  • Renaming a service: "Moss Removal" becomes "Roof Moss Treatment". The folder is renamed with it and the photos stay put.
  • Client sends 200 photos at once: they use the upload link into Client Uploads. On Client → Media, Select the gutter ones and Move them into "Gutter Cleaning".

Limits and what it can't do

  • Up to 20 services, up to 30 photos each in the Client → Details box.
  • On Client → Details: PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP, up to 5 MB each. The onboarding form and upload link also take TIFF and HEIC, up to 10 MB.
  • Videos for a service go in the same folder, but not through the Details box. See How clients upload videos.
  • Zeus can't tell what's in a photo from the folder alone, so keep each service's photos in its own folder.

Credits

Uploading, moving and using the client's own photos is free. Only images Zeus creates to fill empty slots cost credits (Image Generation, per image).

Who can use it

Anyone on your team with the Clients tool. Clients add service photos through the onboarding form, the upload link or the portal's Media tab, not on the Details form.

Troubleshooting

  • "File too large: photo.jpg. Maximum size is 5MB.": shrink the photo, or send it through the upload link (10 MB) and move it into the service's folder.
  • "Invalid file type: photo.heic. Please use PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP.": the Details box doesn't take iPhone HEIC photos. Use the upload link, which converts them.
  • "Maximum 30 images allowed. You can add 5 more.": that service is full. Remove some first.
  • Photos vanished after I left the page: you didn't click Save Changes.
  • Zeus put the wrong photos on a page: check which folder they're in on Client → Media and move them to the right service's folder.
