Knowledge for the Assistant

Teach the Assistant with web pages, a whole website, a Mount Olympus site, files, FAQs and notes; how often websites are re-read, the limits, trying a question, and filling the gaps it couldn't answer.

Updated October 19, 2026

The Assistant answers only from its knowledge. Open Assistant → Knowledge in the business app.

What you can add

  • Web pages: paste one or more addresses.
  • A whole website: we find its pages and read them (pages that ask us not to read them are skipped).
  • A Mount Olympus site: read straight from the site, and updated every time you publish.
  • Files: PDF, Word, text or CSV, up to 20 MB each.
  • FAQs: a question and its answer; or import a CSV of them.
  • Notes: anything else, up to 20,000 characters each.

Other websites are re-checked weekly (only changed pages are read again). Use Refresh now after a big change.

Limits

Included at no charge, per business: 5 knowledge bases, 500 web pages, 100 files, 1,000 FAQs.

Try a question

Try a question shows which parts of the knowledge the Assistant would use. If the right part doesn't come up, add an FAQ with the answer.

Gaps

When the Assistant can't answer, the question is saved under Gaps. Answer it adds an FAQ with your answer, so it can answer next time. Dismiss removes it.

Good to know

  • Text on a page that looks like instructions ("ignore your rules…") is kept as plain text and never followed.
  • Card numbers and similar details are hidden before anything is saved.
  • Keep prices and opening hours in one place (an FAQ or a note), so every answer uses the same figures.
