Once your AI assistant is connected, you just ask in plain words. Use the client's business name; your assistant finds the right client, site and page itself. The prompts below are ready to copy. Swap in your own names.
Each job needs the right choice when you connected (Read, Write or Publish) and the matching tool in your role. See MCP permissions explained. Everything here is free unless it says it costs credits.
Say the client's name, not an id
Every tool takes a name instead of an id: the client (client), the website (site, its name or its client's name) or the business app (business, the client's name, or "your agency"). Spelling doesn't have to be exact: "jones bakry" still finds Jones Bakery. If more than one matches (two clients called Smith…), your assistant gets a short list and asks you which one; it never guesses. It only ever finds the clients you can reach: a team member limited to some clients can't find the others, and a client's own connection only finds its own business and sites. find_business and find_site look them up.
- "Open Jones Bakery's business app and show me this week's new contacts."
- "Which sites does Smith have?" (if both Smith Plumbing and Smith Roofing match, it asks which)
Conversations (business app inbox)
Your assistant can read a business's inbox and help you answer, but it doesn't send on its own:
Read: list_conversations (mine, team or unassigned; unread, starred, waiting for a reply), get_conversation (one contact's thread, text only, by the contact's name or email) and search_messages.
Answer: draft_reply saves a reply as a draft on the thread, marked as written by an AI app, for your team to check and send. This is the normal way. list_snippets and render_snippet use your saved replies.
Send: send_reply really emails the contact. It needs the Write choice, and your assistant must first show you the exact text (a preview) and only send once you say yes. Asking twice with the same text never sends two emails.
Texts: draft_text saves a text-message reply for review; send_text texts the contact from the business's number with the same preview-then-confirm rule. Texting hours, STOP and text permission always apply.
Calls: list_calls and get_call read the business's call log: answered and missed calls, voicemail and call transcripts, the team's notes and outcomes. They're read only: calls are placed by people in the business app, and recordings aren't handed out.
Tidy up: add_comment (internal, never sent), assign_conversation, mark_read and archive_conversation (Write).
"Show me Jones Bakery's unread conversations and draft a reply to each one."
"What did Ana Lopez last say? Draft a friendly answer offering Tuesday or Wednesday."
"Send the reply you drafted to Ana." (it shows the text and waits for your yes)
Classes and tables (business app)
For a business with a Class or event calendar: list_class_sessions shows the sessions with places booked and left and how many are waiting (or, for table bookings, the free times for a party size on a day); get_class_roster lists who is booked on a session, checked in or not, and the waitlist in order; book_class books places in a session or a table by hand (pay later, like a phone booking). Booking needs the Write choice, and your assistant shows you the session, places and price first and only books once you say yes.
- "How many places are left in Jones Yoga's classes this week?"
- "Who's booked on Tuesday's 6pm Flow class at Jones Yoga?"
- "Book Ana Lopez (ana@example.com) two places on Thursday's 7pm class." (it shows the details and waits for your yes)
Rentals (business app)
For a business with a Rental calendar: list_rentals shows the listings with their prices, stock, variants and deposits, and what's out, due back or overdue right now; check_rental says whether items are free for some dates (and how many) and gives the exact price line by line with the deposit; book_rental books a rental by hand (pay later, like a phone booking). Booking needs the Write choice, and your assistant shows you the items, dates and price first and only books once you say yes.
- "Is a double kayak free at Lake Rentals from Friday to Sunday? What would it cost?"
- "What's overdue at Lake Rentals right now?"
- "Book the lake cabin for Ana Lopez (ana@example.com) from the 20th to the 23rd." (it shows the details and waits for your yes)
Clients, sites and pages
Find things:
- "List my clients."
- "Which of my clients are in Denver?"
- "Show me Smith Roofing's websites, with their live address and a preview link."
- "List the pages on Smith Roofing's site, with each page's SEO title."
Add things:
- "Add a client: Acme Gutters, 512-555-0100, Austin TX, gutter installation, gutter cleaning and gutter guards. Brand color #1a5fb4. Open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm."
- "Start a blank website for Acme Gutters."
- "Add a Gutter Cleaning page to Acme Gutters' site, after Services in the menu, with the SEO title 'Gutter Cleaning in Austin | Acme Gutters'."
- "Make a copy of the Roof Repair page called Roof Replacement, and keep it out of the menu for now."
Good to know:
- A new client gets the same checks as Clients → Add client. The business name must be new in your agency. Up to 9 services, which become the client's tracked keywords.
- A new site is the same as Websites → New site → Start blank: the default theme in the client's brand color, the default header and mobile menu, the client's Business Info, and a Home page with one empty section. It stays a draft. Hosting is only charged once it's first published.
- A new page is blank (one empty section) or a copy of another page. Page names are up to 40 characters.
- If your assistant repeats the same "add" within 10 minutes (for example after a timeout), you get the first one back, not a duplicate.
Edit a page
Your assistant reads the page first, then changes exactly what you ask. It can change words, settings, layout, links, visibility and animations, and add, move, copy or remove widgets and sections.
- "On Smith Roofing's home page, change the hero heading to 'Storm damage? We're on our way' and add a 'Call now' button under it that calls 555-0100."
- "On the About page, put the team photo and the text side by side, photo on the right."
- "Make the services section three columns."
- "Hide the big hero image on phones."
- "Add an FAQ section at the bottom of the Roof Repair page with these five questions and answers: …"
- "Swap the order of the testimonials and the services sections."
- "Make the cards fade in one after another as you scroll."
- "Remove the old 'Spring offer' section from the home page."
- "On the Gutter Cleaning page, connect the heading and photo to the Services collection's name and image fields."
Good to know:
- Changes go to the draft. The live site doesn't change until you publish.
- It adds any widget from the widget library. It can't add HTML embeds, custom CSS or custom code widgets. Use the Widget Builder for those.
- It writes real content only. It won't fill a widget with sample text, so give it the facts (reviews, prices, hours) or point it at a page that has them.
- If someone changed the page since your assistant read it, its change is refused and nothing is saved. It reads the page again and redoes it.
- Parts of a page that are locked for client editing stay locked for client connections.
- Open the page in the editor to watch it change live.
Header, footer and menu
- "In Smith Roofing's header, change the button to 'Free Inspection' and link it to the Contact page."
- "Add the phone number to the footer."
- "Move Contact to the end of the menu."
- "Make a Services dropdown in the menu and put Roof Repair, Roof Replacement and Gutters in it."
- "Hide the Thank You page from the menu."
- "Rename the 'About Us' page to 'Our Story'." (The name changes in the menu and the Pages panel.)
Pages and SEO
- "Set the SEO title and description for every service page. Keep titles under 60 characters and descriptions under 160."
- "Change the Roof Repair page's address to /roof-repair-austin."
- "Delete the old Specials page." Your assistant asks you first. A deleted page can't be put back with undo.
Popups
- "Make a popup called 'Free quote' with the heading 'Get a free roof quote', a short line of text and a contact form."
- "Open the Free quote popup after 8 seconds, once per visit, on desktop only."
- "Make the 'Get a quote' button on the home page open the Free quote popup."
- "Move the popup to the bottom right and make it 420px wide."
Theme
- "Change Smith Roofing's primary color to #c0392b and the heading font to Montserrat."
- "Make the buttons more rounded, 12px corners."
- "Turn off the cursor effects."
The theme changes every page of the site. Your assistant tells you that and asks you to agree before it changes it.
Undo
Every site change your assistant makes gets a change number. Ask it to put one back:
- "Undo that last change."
- "Undo the header change you made earlier."
Undo puts back section content, added or removed sections, the header, footer and mobile menu, the theme, page settings and SEO, and pages and popups it added (they're deleted again). Anything changed again since is left as it is and reported as skipped. Undo works on the draft only.
Undo doesn't cover a deleted page, blog posts, collection items, social posts, press releases or new clients and sites. Fix those by asking for another change, or in ContentForge. Client connections can only undo their own changes.
Blog posts
- "List the blog posts on Smith Roofing's site."
- "Write a 900-word blog post for Smith Roofing about spotting hail damage. Primary keyword 'hail damage roof inspection'. Save it as a draft."
- "Add this photo as the featured image: https://example.com/hail.jpg."
- "Update the 'Winter roof tips' post: add a section on ice dams and change the SEO description."
- "Publish the hail damage post." or "Schedule it for next Tuesday at 9am."
Good to know:
- New posts are drafts. They show in Mount Olympus → Blog for you to review.
- Publishing or scheduling needs Publish. If the site itself isn't published yet, the post goes live when the site does.
- Edits to a live post stay unpublished until it's republished.
- The primary keyword is added to the client's tracked keywords.
- If the client approves blog posts, a post they haven't approved can't be published. Your assistant says so and the post stays a draft.
Collections
- "What collections does Smith Roofing's site have, and what fields?"
- "List the items in the Services collection."
- "Add a Service Area item for Round Rock, with this description: …"
- "Update the Roof Repair item's price to 'From $350'."
- "Show the Round Rock item on the site."
New items are hidden until you show them. Showing an item needs Publish. A collection holds up to 500 items. Your assistant can't make new collections or fields; do that in the editor.
Social posts and press releases
These are for your agency only.
- "List Smith Roofing's scheduled social posts."
- "Write a Facebook post for Smith Roofing about our spring gutter cleaning offer, linking to the Gutters page, and schedule it for May 2 at 10am."
- "Draft a Google Business Profile post about our new 10-year warranty."
- "List Smith Roofing's press releases and their pickups."
- "Write a press release announcing Smith Roofing's new Round Rock office. Save it as a draft."
Good to know:
- Social posts go into the client's Content → Social, for one of the networks the client uses (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or Google Business Profile). They're saved as drafts, or scheduled if you give a date. Nothing is posted to the network. Links get tracking tags.
- Press releases go into the client's Content → Press Releases as drafts. The dateline, the "About" paragraph and the media contact are filled from the client's details. Nothing is sent out.
- From your own copy only. Zeus doesn't write them through MCP. To have Zeus write them, use ContentForge.
Media
- "Find photos of the team in Smith Roofing's media library."
- "Add this image to the site's media library: https://example.com/crew.jpg, alt text 'Smith Roofing crew on a roof'."
- "Use the crew photo as the background of the home page hero."
Images can be JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF or AVIF, up to 25 MB. They're resized the same way as uploads in the editor and show in the site's media library for everyone. For big images, give a web address rather than pasting the file. Your assistant can't upload videos or make new images.
Reporting
These read what ContentForge already has. They never start a scan and are free.
- "How did Search Console look for Smith Roofing over the last 28 days, compared with the 28 days before?"
- "What were Smith Roofing's top search queries last month?"
- "Show GA4 sessions, key events and traffic sources for the last 90 days."
- "What did the latest map scan show for 'roof repair'?"
- "List Smith Roofing's tracked keywords with their ranks."
- "Summarize the latest backlink snapshot. Any new or lost referring domains?"
- "Which of Smith Roofing's citations need attention or have the wrong phone number?"
- "What are Zeus's open recommendations for Smith Roofing, highest priority first?"
- "List Smith Roofing's saved competitors."
Search Console and GA4 need the client's properties linked in ContentForge. Periods can be 7 to 480 days.
Update Zeus recommendations
When you've done the work, tell Zeus, so it can learn what worked:
- "Mark Zeus's 'Add a Roof Repair FAQ' recommendation as executed."
- "Tick the first two steps of that recommendation as done."
- "Mark the 'Get more reviews' recommendation in progress."
- "Defy the recommendation about Instagram. The client won't do it."
Executed work is measured at 30, 60 and 90 days, just like on the client's Zeus tab. Reasons for defying are: not relevant, already done, the client won't, or the data is wrong.
Zeus scans and SEO tools (these cost credits)
- "How many credits do we have, and what does each run cost?"
- "Summon Zeus for Smith Roofing."
- "Run a map scan for Smith Roofing for 'roof repair' and 'roofer near me'."
- "Do keyword research on 'metal roofing' in Austin, TX."
- "Run a Local SEO audit of smithroofing.com."
- "Run a backlink analysis for Smith Roofing."
- "Run a citation audit for Smith Roofing."
- "Run a competitor check on Smith Roofing's competitor Top Notch Roofing."
- "Run a Zeus Ads Review for Smith Roofing."
- "Run the GBP Optimizer for Smith Roofing."
How it works:
- Your assistant first checks what would run and what it costs, and tells you, for example "This costs 3 credits". Nothing runs and nothing is charged yet.
- Say yes, and it starts. If you don't have enough credits, it says so and nothing runs. Buy more in Billing & credits.
- Quick runs (keyword research, backlinks, competitor check, Ads Review, GBP Optimizer) give their results straight away.
- Longer runs (Zeus scan, map scan, Local SEO audit, citation audit) keep going in the background. Ask "How's the map scan going?" and you'll get progress, then the results when it's done. Asking about once a minute is plenty.
Good to know:
- Map scans are charged per keyword, up to 5 keywords. The grid size and radius come from the client's map scan settings unless you give them.
- If a Zeus scan is already running for the client, you get that one and nothing new is charged.
- A backlink snapshot from the last 12 hours is reused and the credits come back.
- A citation audit is charged once, when it finishes. One that stopped partway carries on where it left off.
- A run that fails gives the credits back.
- If your assistant sends the same confirmed run again within 10 minutes, you get the first one back, not a second charge.
- Ads Review needs the client's Google Ads account linked. GBP Optimizer needs ContentForge to already know the client's Business Profile.
Publishing
- "Publish Smith Roofing's site."
- "Publish just the Roof Repair page."
Good to know:
- Needs Publish. Your assistant should only publish when you ask.
- Publishing the site puts everything in the draft live (except pages set as draft). Publishing one page only works on a site that's already live. New pages, address changes and dynamic pages need the whole site published.
- The first publish makes it a hosted site. See Publish your site.
- If a page still shows a template's reviews, the publish stops with that warning. Your assistant asks you, and only publishes anyway if you say so.
- If other languages are live but not fully translated, it still publishes and tells you which ones.
